“ 『未来少年コナン』のでコナンが寝ているラナのために鉄板で日陰を作るっていう有名なレイアウトがあるんだよ（第八話『逃亡』）。地平線が一本描いてあるだけなんだけど、すばらしいレイアウトなの。これは宮さんに聞いたことがあるんだけど、あのレイアウトを固めるのにやっぱり半日かかったんだって。この線をどこに引くかっていうだけで。それぐらい微妙なものなんだよ。その線一本ですごい広大な砂漠を表現したんだよね。こう鉄板をかざして、その日陰のなかにラナが寝ていて、こう影が落ちてるわけ。その影の落ち方も絶妙なんだけど、それと遠くの地平線がパース的に一致しなきゃいけない。それをあの人は勘でやってるんだよね。
